The Joie Steadi Belt Fit Car Seat is R129 approved to protect your baby from approx birth to 4 years old (40-105H cm). With optimum support and cosiness, you and your baby will be happy with this car seat. What is R129? R129 is the most up to date safety standard for car seats. Main features of R129 seats: -Tested by the height of your child rather than weight. -Advanced side impact protection testing -Rearward facing- children must be rearward facing until at least 15 months. Grows With Baby -Stage 1 (Rearward facing) -40cm to 105 cm (Approx Birth to 4 Years) -Installation in Stage 1- Vehicle seat belt This seat is extended rearward facing from 40cm (Approx Birth) up to 105 cm (approx. 4 years). It is recommended to keep a child rearward facing for as long as possible. Newborn inserts are included as an added support for your littles ones head and neck. Adjustable multi- position headrest allows this seat to grow with your child, the headrest and harness adjust simultaneously meaning no need for you to rethread the harness. The headrest must be adjusted so that the shoulder harness is at the same level as the child’s shoulders. The 5- point harness is used up to 100 cm including no-slip harness pads. This seat also includes a recline position to ensure maximum comfort. Installation in Stage 2- Vehicle seat belt Although this seat can be forward facing from 15 months (76 to 105cm) we recommend keeping your child rearward facing until 105cm (Approx 4 Years).There are 3 recline positions for forward facing mode. At this stage, the newborn inserts can be removed. Again the headrest must be adjusted so that the shoulder harness is at the same level as the child’s shoulders.
