The lens provides magnification from 30x to 525x and 5x24mm, while the optical finder scope makes it simple to locate celestial objects. How to Set Up Your Telescope Viewing through windows is not recommended. Practice indoors with lots of light before taking your telescope outside. Lenses can fog with sudden temperature changes, so let your telescope adjust outdoors. Viewing the Night Sky Choose the darkest spot with the widest view of the sky you can find! We recommend moonless nights, as moonlight washes out deep-sky objects. Set up your telescope on a flat surface. Choosing the Right Eyepiece Start with the lowest power eyepiece. This will give you a wider view of the sky to find objects. Once you find what you want to focus on, use the higher power eyepiece to get a closer look. Remember: the lowest numbers provide the highest magnification — and always be sure to remove the dust cap from the lens before you start. How to Focus Your Microscope Focus can be hard to achieve, especially at the higher magnifications, or when viewing conditions are not ideal. The best way to focus is to slowly adjust the focuser knob until you have just passed best focus, then adjust back to the best focus to keep it steady.
