The saltwater crocodile is the most dangerous of all crocodiles. It also holds the record for the largest crocodile: it can weigh up to a ton, the weight of a small car. While most crocodiles live in rivers and lakes, the saltwater crocodile is the only one that can survive in both freshwater and the saltwater of the sea. Along with the saltwater crocodile, there are many other types of crocodiles, 25 in total. Some examples include the Nile crocodile, the African slender-snouted crocodile, caimans, and alligators.
